This is our original Kyoto cycling map, focusing on Kyoto city. It includes not only the popular cycling routes around Arashiyama, Higashiyama, Kinkakuji Temple, Kamogawa River, Philosopher's Path, and Fushimi Inari Shrine, but also the mountain routes to Kifune and Kurama, located north of Kyoto city, and Kumogahata, as well as the Lake Biwa route in Shiga Prefecture, which is east of Kyoto Prefecture.
Additionally, we have introduced intermediate and advanced mountain cycling routes in Kyoto City, as well as long ride courses for advanced riders, which are used by local cyclists, at the bottom of the page.

This is a classic cycling course that goes around Kyoto city, stopping at the city's main tourist attractions.

(Half day) Kyoto Arashiyama, Hozukyo Gorge cycling route*Self-Guided
The forest ride along the river is exhilarating, and you can see the Sagano trolley train and the Hozugawa river rafting.

(Half day) Kyoto Kyomi Pass, Kumogahata cycling route*Self-Guided
The route is much easier than the Hanase Pass and takes you through the tranquil town of Kumogahata.
