Kyoto - Fushimi inari Shrine
It is a fantastic route that cycles through the wonderful bamboo forests of Mt. Inari and from the forest road to Fushimi Inari Shrine.
It is famous for its Senbon Torii gates and the mystical Inariyama trekking route. The shrine entrance from the station is incredibly crowded.
The cycling route inside Inariyama is not obvious to tourists, so it is best to take a guided tour or park at the nearby bicycle parking lot and walk.
It takes 30 minute e-bike ride from the Saiin Rental Center.

Kamogawa River Promenade
If you are cycling from central Kyoto to Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, we recommend taking the Kamogawa River Promenade.

Bamboo forest of Mt. Inari
When it comes to bamboo forests, Arashiyama is famous, but there is actually a vast and beautiful bamboo forest behind Mt. Inari where Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine is located, and it is known as a hidden spot for local cyclists.

Hidden Shrine on Mount Inari
Inside Mount Inari, there are many maze-like paths. Some of the paths are unpaved and bumpy, and you will occasionally come across local hikers. There is also a quiet shrine.

Fushimi Inari Shrine
The inside of Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine (with its thousand torii gates) is overflowing with tourists, so I wouldn't recommend it for tourists looking for a quieter Kyoto.

Tofukuji Temple
Tofukuji Temple is famous for the autumn foliage season, but it is overflowing with tourists during this time. The temple garden (rock garden) is very beautiful, so I recommend visiting in seasons other than autumn when there are fewer tourists.
