Kyoto- Kyomi Pass - Kumogahata
Kyoto Kyomi Pass, Kumogahata cycling route
The route is much easier than the Hanase Pass and takes you through the tranquil town of Kumogahata.

Kinkakuji Temple
There is a road leading to Kyomi Pass to the north of Kinkakuji Temple.

Kyomi Pass
Kyomi Pass is 446m above sea level, and even a beginner can climb it on an electric bicycle. This road also leads to Takao and Keihoku Town. *This page introduces the Kumogahata route.

Himuro
Since ancient times, this area has been used as a refrigeration facility, located in a cool place near the capital, specifically to store ice as a gift to the emperor.

Kumogahata
Kumogahata, which spreads out along the headwaters of the Kamo River, is a beautiful village in the mountains. The townscape of a bygone era, completely different from that of urban areas, resonates in your mind.

Ze-mon Cafe
This traditional Japanese café is only open on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. It serves drinks, Japanese sweets, and light snacks such as rice balls in a relaxed atmosphere outside the home.

The beautiful upstream of the Kamo River
Cycle along the clear waters of the beautiful Kamo River. From Kumogahata, there is a very long downhill stretch that is a blissful time for cyclists.

Kamo River in the city
I returned to downtown Kyoto. This cycling course runs along the river a lot, so it feels cool even in the hot summer.
